Rashida Jones

Rashida Jones was born in Los Angeles, California, the younger daughter of a media mogul, producer and musician Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton. Kidada Jones is her elder sibling. There are five half-siblings through other relationships with her father. Her father is African-American, and her mother is Ashkenazi Jewish (a descendant from immigrants to Russia and Latvia). Rashida was raised in Reform Judaism. She was raised in Bel Air, Los Angeles, California. Jones stated that Jones' mixed race parents were unacceptable to her in the 1970s. Jones made her professional acting debut was on The Last Don (1997), a mini-series that was inspired by Mario Puzo's novel. Rashida was also a Harvard University graduate in 1997. She was a student at the Buckley School in Sherman Oaks (California). Voted the Most Likely Sufferer. Arabic (O+O'UO O(c)) is her nickname. It is the word for "Major", adult, mature and wise.
