Paula Faris

Paula Faris is an American journalist who previously worked as a television correspondent for ABC News. Her tenures as co-anchor on Good Morning America Weekend (2014-2018) and co-host on The View (2015-2018) are well-known. Before that she was co-anchor of America This Morning (World News Now) as well as America This Morning (America This Morning). After graduating, she worked in several communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Due to the lack of opportunities available on television, she landed an opening as an agent for radio sales. After a year of working as a production assistant for WKEF/WRGT, she eventually was in a position to report and anchor on occasion. She was one of the weekend and weekday sports anchors at WCPO TV, Cincinnati, from 2002 until. She became a reporter for sports for the NBC's Chicago affiliate WMAQ-TV between November 2005 and December 2011, when her contract expired. In December 2011 she was hired by ABC News, the news division of ABC. The first time she appeared on ABC News for their World News Now and America This Morning on January 2, 2012. She was a correspondent as well as substitute for Good Morning America during this time. Then, she was made a New York-based correspondent for all ABC News programs. She was not able to make it to the final episode of World News Now or America This Morning. It was on January 22nd, 2013. On August 9, 2014 she made her debut as co-anchor for Good Morning America Weekend, after the departure of Bianna Golodryga, who moved to Yahoo! News. News. It was revealed on August 3 on the 3rd of August, 2016, that she had been renewed for her contract for the twentieth season. Season 21 also saw her renewed as cohost. She was a regular guest on Friday episodes of the 21st season and the 22nd season.
